Laura has 14 years of experience advising companies on complex tax structuring matters relating to formation, mergers and acquisitions, and capital raises, restructurings, and employee compensation and benefits matters.

Now based in Savannah, Georgia, Laura spent the first seven years of her career with the tax section of Vinson & Elkins in Houston, Texas, focused on complex partnership and corporate transactions for a wide range of clients, including public companies and PE portfolio companies. She transitioned to Anadarko Petroleum Company in 2019 and served as senior counsel advising on tax and a variety of other matters, including corporate governance, labor and employment, and acquisitions.

Since 2023, she has represented buyers, sellers, and owners of small and medium-sized businesses through the entire life cycle of their companies, from start-up to exit. She knows the value of earning trust as an advisor, and focuses on developing a deep understanding of each client’s business to craft solutions that fit their unique goals.

She also serves as outside tax counsel for law firms in need of tax expertise for their clients, including HunterMaclean and SMB Law Group.
